Conveying the importance of music education in the curriculum and community is the main goal of this concert. This high school choir festival also provides an opportunity for individual school choirs to perform before participating in the OMEA Large Group state contest. The concert concludes with a massed choral performance of more than 550 SATB voices under the direction of a college conductor. After the concert each high school director is provided with constructive comments on their presentation to increase the quality of their choral performance.
