Tri-County Honors Band is designed to provide an advanced instrumental music opportunity for gifted high school band students. High school band students audition with the recommendation of the student's high school band director. Based on the audition and instrumentation, the students are placed in one of two bands. The Honors Band program includes a series of rehearsals with guest conductors and a concert with The College of Wooster Scot Symphonic Band.
The Bee is the nation's largest and longest-running educational promotion, administered on a not-for-profit basis by The E.W. Scripps Company and 267 sponsors in the United States, Europe, Canada, New Zealand, Guam, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and American Samoa.
Tri-County Solo & Ensemble Festival is designed to provide music students in grades 5-12 an opportunity to perform, display their music talents, and receive constructive comments as well as a rating for their performance.

Showcase for Visual Art is designed to place professionally matted and framed student artworks in businesses, banks and offices of professionals throughout Ashland County. Donations from sponsors are used to mat and frame the artwork and purchase a gift card for each student artist. Artwork is displayed at the sponsor's business for one year, then returned to the school for display and eventually returned to the student artists.
Summer Enrichment and Exploration opportunities will be provided for students in grades 1-8. These offerings replace the prior summer enrichment programs and primary day camps. Students can explore a variety of topics in academic areas such as science, math, language arts, and visual arts. Student engagement will promote creative thinking, teamwork, and problem solving

This Enrichment Academy program takes place in conjunction with presidential election years and provides an opportunity for grades 10, 11 & 12 to take a closer look at how our government operates. The program provides an in-depth curriculum on our government and enhances the learning process with research skills and a mentorship component. Students will take a three-day field studies trip to Washington D.C. where they will attend the Presidential Inauguration and visit historical sites. This program is facilitated through Educational Field Studies Incorporated.
This one-day enrichment event for East Holmes students in Grades 3-6 is focused on problem solving, team building skills, and a hands-on approach to learning math concepts. Students explore careers in math, such as engineering, drafting, and accounting.
High school sohomores, juniors, and seniors are eligible for the academy's Marine Biology Class and Field Study. Classes begin in January of each year and continue through April culminating with a one-week field study in Key Largo, Florida. Students can receive a 1/2 unit of credit through their local district's adopted course of study. A
High school students (grades 9-12) participate in a one-day tournament that provides opportunities to be challenged at the Regional and State level.
Each year middle school students (grades 6-8) participate in a one-day tournament that provides a learning experience for middle school students and generates an interest for the high school Academic Challenge program.
