ACT Information / Preparation - LiveBinder
Notice to all students who participated in our ACT Info/Prep session held at Tri-County ESC on March 9, 2017. Please take time to look through the contents of this Livebinder for more information and strategy review to aid in your preparation for the state mandated ACT test given to all Juniors in the State of Ohio. Tutors for Students - We maintain a list of teachers in all subject areas who may be contacted for tutoring services (330-345-6771 ext. 228 or ext. 232).
Rotating Elementary Art Exhibit
During January come in and browse the artwork of students from Northwestern Elementary School (K-5), Northwestern Middle School (6), Northwestern Local School District. These art exhibits will be displayed throughout the Tri-County Educational Service Center the entire month of January. Feel free to come and take a look at the artwork of our very talented students.
Each elementary school in Ashland, Holmes and Wayne Counties is invited to exhibit children's artwork at the Tri-County ESC office. The exhibit is designed to:
Each month one student's artwork is selected as "Best of Show". This artwork is then professionally matted, framed and hung (in rotation) in the following locations: Wayne County Juvenile Court, Child Support Enforcement Agency, Cleveland Clinic - Wooster Pediatric Offices and Tri-County ESC offices.
Tri-County ESC respectfully thanks student artists for donating the artwork to the collection of student work.

Tri-County Speech Contest (held Thursday, May 4, 2017)
Dalton High School earned First Place to win the Tri-County High School Speech Contest Sweepstakes Trophy by accumulating the most sweepstakes points in the thirty-eighth annual Tri-County High School Speech Contest held Thursday, May 4. The Second Place team was Chippewa High School followed by Northwestern High School in Third Place.
Stained Glass Class
Students created a stained glass project, introducing them to the skills needed for more intricate projects. Crafting with stained glass requires meticulous measurement, precise cutting, and much patience with yourself and the materials. Students need to be able to take direction, follow safety rules, and persist with a project that will require some ‘do-overs.’ Patience, creativity and precision will paid off in a colorful glass composition.
