Future Students

Tri-County International Academy was created out of an effort by your high school and several others in Ashland, Holmes, and Wayne counties to offer their students the International Baccalaureate Programme in a setting geared toward the goals and ambitions of future-minded students.

Students in this program receive a college preparatory education that is globally recognized for its excellence. In addition to receiving superior college preparation, students often receive advantageous admissions consideration, extra scholarship consideration, and actual college credits.

Information for Home School Districts

Arrival and Dismissal

Students should arrive by approximately 7:45 AM, with classes beginning at 8:05 AM. Students are dismissed at 1:34 PM on typical days and are able to depart to home schools to participate in electives or afterschool activities.

EMIS Coordination

EMIS-related reporting of students is done by the home district.

Tri-County International Academy is located within Wooster High School in Wooster, Ohio.

Wooster is easily accessible by OH 83 from the north and south, U.S. 30 from the east and west, as well as U.S. 250, OH 3, and OH 585.

Wooster High School is located near OH 83 and OH 3 on the city’s north side.

From OH 83 North, make a left on Friendsville Road. Turn right at the first traffic light onto Oldman Road. Wooster High School is ahead on the right. Enter the main entrance and make a right to report to the office.

Tri-County International Academy is a collaborative effort between Tri-County Educational Service Center and school districts in Ashland, Holmes, and Wayne counties to provide a high-quality option for students seeking a rigorous college-prep educational experience. Currently 13 of the 16 school districts in the tri-county area are a part of this consortium effort. Districts can choose to enter at anytime, making this program available to virtually any public school student. It is the collaboration between districts that makes sufficient levels of enrollment and funding possible.
